Clinton should get the nomination

Posted: Thursday, April 26, 2007 8:28 PM by Hardball

(By MSNBC's Joe Scarborough)

John Edwards has had a stronger second half while Hillary Clinton has seemed a bit flat. She said she supported George Bush when he took US troops into Afghanistan but...she...uh...wasn't for attacking a country like Iraq that didn't attack us. But, of course, she did. Still, Clinton, Edwards and Obama have done what is required to get out of the first debate. Hillary Clinton should be the next Democratic nominee for president if she avoids big mistakes. Tonight she did.

I strongly disagree with you on Clinton. She did ok tonight. Obama did not impress. Edwards went down. Dodd neutral. Richardson even further down. Biden UP big time. Kucinich up. Gravel needs to go back to Alaska. His brain is frostbitten.
Can't wait to see this re-broadcast on the West Coast.
Joe - I am proud of you. You got it right.
Shockingly, I find Gravel the most attractive candidate as an alternative. I see a lot of Ronnie Reagan in him and that may cause me to become a Gravel Republican!
For the first time I agree with J.S. Clinton should get the nomination.
What a bunch of light weights. The al Qeada, watching from their caves, were licking their chops. What a group of useful idiots. Scary naiveté on display. Rudy will eat their lunch.
Could not disagree more, Senator Clinton should not get the nomination on this one debate, which she did not knock out of the park in any sense of the word. Also Joe S., I think that Senator Obama was the most sophisticated and thoughtful of all of the canidates that I heard. So, I think that the nomination is up for grabs, Joe, and will be decided by the rules of the National Party, not by this one debate.
Gravel's website is crashing. I think he's hit a nerve, America. He's a refreshing breath of fresh air! I like this guy a lot and want to know more. Buh-bye, Barack! Hello, Mike!

Joe you want her to get it because Republicans want most to run against her. We will have more dirt flung, they have it waiting and can't wait to use it. Wake up Dems they want Clinton real bad.
please,RUDY'S been married so many times he's got rice marks on his face.GRAVEL-who knew!i'm already tired of hill.
i think Hilary should get the nomination. As far as the republicans go with the dirt flinging, they will fling dirt on anyone. thats there strategy. i think hillary can deal with it appropiately. She knows what she's going into. she was first lady for 8 years.
Hillary was the absolute professional. Realistic, knowledgeable, focused, determined and ready. I will vote for her.
Joe you only said that because you know she will be a much more easier target for your republican party. Please let us ( democrats) decide the winner. I stronghly believe that you got something from the Cinton Camp. Because you before one of her chealeeder lately
"Retaliate"? Retaliate against WHOM???? We already did that...it's called Iraq. Her answer that is garnering so much praise from the moderate to right wing press is a page out of the Bush administration. She said she regrets her vote to go to war with Iraq in one breath then turns around and says she would retaliate against an attack by Al Qaeda. Where???? As we have learned painfully in Iraq, we can not defeat an enemy with no country and no-standing army!
NO to Hillary until she is able to say the words..."I made a mistake"...when voting for the war. We have spent eight years with a president who can't say, "I made a mistake." We want another one? Hillary hints at it...but she has to say the words.
Obama's supporters are stuffing the ballot box (the Live Vote.) He may be able to bounce back but he certainly did not make a good impression tonight. Pat or Craig said maybe he is "just a suit, after all." I think it his mellifluous voice that hypnotizes people. But I wanted to say something I haven't heard anyone say (well, Chris before the debate began) that Bill Clinton is out of the country (at Yeltsin's funeral) but Hillary certainly didn't need to have her best coach nearby tonight. I'm still waiting to find out what that BOX was under the back of Bush's coat was during that debate in '04!!!
Joe, you got it right. Hillary is the most ready and able candidate who we need desparately as president in these trying times. I'll definitely vote for her.
Hillary Clinton is being touted in the press as the candidate who came across as "Presidential". Heck, I always thought so. I will work hard to get her elected. She's the best Democrat running. Right on Joe Scarborough.
