I think Clinton's debate responses were consistent with her positions and views. She would be a great president.

While I am not sure Hillary is the winner -- her pitch MUST be brought down; it grates. I agree with your other assessments. For Barack to blow off Rezko as just one of his contributors is an insult, and he consistently did not answer the questions. Biden is looking better all the time, to me, as is Dodd. I was an Edwards supporter, but got miffed with the haircut. I would have liked an explanation beyond -- it was a mistake. He looked tired, and weak.

Barack looked and acted the most genuine and unscripted. Hillary practised in front of a mirror for weeks. Richardson is the sharpest knife in the drawer, but when was the last time the Democrats put forth their sharpest candidate? 1960.

The only people with whom Hilary wins support are people that have no idea who she is. i.e. nobody. Hilary Clinton could turn water into wine and no one would change their opinion about her. She can NEVER win a general election unless the Republicans nominate Osama Bin Ladin.

Does America really want 4 more years of this constant fightng that Hillary would bring, I hope not. She can't come to the truth with her Iraq vote, and she calls the president stubborn and deceptive? Mike Gravel Was Awesome. I'll bet he gains a lot of popularity out of this. A stand up guy. I was very impressed.

Mike Gravel definitely made his mark on this debate. He was the most passionate one in the debate and every one of you are purposely denying him credit. His name is not even mentioned in one of your articles. This is a disgrace to your profession. We need real journalist instead of the hacks we are getting.

Obama did a good job. Not great, but good. There is time for him to improve in debates. I think it's too soon to pronounce him the "loser" and Hillary the "winner." If Hillary Clinton is so "experienced" and a "professional", then why all the foolishness over the past few months? - the fake accent and RIDICULOUS, shrill speech in Selma? The whole "me too" thing with comparing herself to JFK. Having her attack dogs go after Obama, having her husband cry "it's not fair" about the press' love of him? Come on, if Hillary can have 3 decades in politics and make so many mistakes in just 2.5 months, give Obama a break. Hillary has been tripping all over herself. Obama hasn't made anywhere near the number of severe mistakes she has made in 8 weeks. You guys are brushing Hillary's mistakes under the carpet. If she's so experienced then why all the nonsense over the last few weeks? If she can bounce back from that and still be described as "experienced", I think Obama can spring back from tonight. Hillary did well tonight, but you can't deny that over the last few months, she's been looking like the rookie.

If Republicans still exist we will have 4 more years of fighting no matter who the Democratic President is. They just tear people up. I wish they'd put all that energy into doing something good for America.

It might be interesting to some voters to be reminded that if Hillary is elected, and spends eight years in office, that the Bush and Clinton families would have occupied the White House for 28 years. Enough is enough-let's elect Obama-young, smart and with new, fresh ideas. It's more than time for a change and a new prospective.

Obama was geat, but did not win the debate. Hillary sounded too rehearse; almost, as if she knew the questions before hand. Joe Biden has a personality that seems more likable; however, Gravel was the true winner of the "big" show. His gusty performance was awe inspiring.

I thought Obama stood next to Hilliary, showed that he had a command of the issues and answered each question thoughtfully. That is what he needed to do. He looked the most presidential of all the candidates.

I'm not a professional blogger and I'm keep it brief. I'm a Hillary supporter and she met my expectations of the kind of experienced thoughtful leader that she would be. I also had high expectations for Obama, but his inexperience shown in this debate. Edwards was a no show in this debate. Experience and ideas will prevail in 2008.

The winner was Mike Gravel. Hillary was her usual self...looking down her nose at everyone. If you call that voice presidential something is wrong with your hearing. It just grates on my nerves so bad I can't listen to her for very long without wanting to throw something at the TV. We have had more than enough of the Bush's and Clinton's. We need someone new to stop this Bush/Clinton hatred in this country. I am so tired of both of them.
