Pat Buchanan's take on the debate

Hillary Rodham Clinton entered this debate as the front-runner and leaves this debate as a stronger front-runner. She won going away.

Responding in what she would do in an event of an attack, Hillary was an almost echo of Ronald Reagan.

Clinton’s chief opponent, Barack Obama, seemed programmed and unspontaneous. 

The others:

  • Joe Biden seemed crisp and short.
  • Richardson was engaging
  • Kucinich was a man of conviction. He believes was he says.
  • Edwards was lacking in energy, passion, and fire.

Clinton and Obama are the winners for all the people that want another sick Republican as President.

Hilary was the clear winner. The rest are also-rans. The republicans are so afraid of Hilary, and let them be. Although I like Kuchinich, Biden, Richardson, and Edwards, I believe Hilary was much better than all of them. Obama needs to gain confidence and experience. Hilary was confident, knowledgable, and portrayed her level-of-experience quite well.

The only thing I have seen to date that characterizes Hilary accurately was the controversial 1984 video depicting her as "Big Brother". I am more frightened of her than the current GOP.

Biden was not only crisp and short, he was direct, to the point, confident and very well versed. You can tell the differece between a robot and a decision maker, as a prior 0311 Marine 90-96 (all combat ops during that time) I don't want another Clinton, and given Hillarys' echo of Reagan and being more rehearsed, and not being able to just say - I originally voted for the war but instead "had I known what I know now blah blah blah, reminding me of her husband - I did not have sex with that woman blah blah blah - America needs a plan - Biden so far seems to be the only one with a plan.

I find it remarkable that in US there are stil politicians that belive in what they say. And act on programs and not demagogy, not shackled by lobbyst. Kucinich made US proud. He is the president the Us and WORLD need

Clinton, No doubt meant everything what she said from her "heart", she is calm, very elloquent, classy and honest. She is the best to run this country as the next President, to clean up all this mess that we are in now created by "Bush". Please, lets all vote for her,this country need a fresh start and healing right now that only Hilary can purely deliver. I'm also a guy but it's sad to say that this county was ruined by guys for so very long time. It's time for Hilary to come in and do some cleaning up to do...Thanks and good luck to all of us...
