What Hillary needs to say

Posted: Thursday, November 01, 2007 5:33 PM by Cathy Finkler

On Thursday’s “Hardball,” Chris Matthews, a former speech writer, offered his advice to Sen. Hillary Clinton on what she should say regarding the negative backlash to her performance at NBC’s Democratic Presidential Candidates DebateRead his suggested speech.

Matthews spent 15 years in politics, working in the White House for four years under President Jimmy Carter as a Presidential speechwriter, as the top aide to Speaker of the House Thomas P. "Tip" O'Neill, Jr. for six years and in the U.S. Senate for five years on the staffs of Senator Frank Moss (Utah) and Senator Edmund Muskie (Maine).

As an Obama supporter I suggest you compare Hillary's autobiography to Obama's first book.  She had three ghost writers while he wrote his own. In my opinion, as someone who has written her own 600 page autobiography, Obama is a far better writer than Hillary. She is, unfortunately, very very slick. Obama is more sensitive and genuine.
Chris

Your advice is fine but the fact is that Senator " Double talk" Clinton cant take it because her entire campaign is built to obfuscation and refusal to provide clear answers to any questions. The Russert interview was a classic case where even he could not get a straigt answer. Please continue to illuminate the senator " double talk" replies till she comes to the realization that she would be best of telling the truth and not what pablum mark penn ( adviser to Blackwater) and wolffson feed her.
