B: 1946 midterm elections, a republican sweep of congress;repudiation of Truman's eneptness and Dem's lack of congressional accomplishments;1948 Dem's retake congress and White house as result of Republican policies. If Dem's bungle the current message of "voice of people"
on war, etc., Republicans could recover quickly and repeat history.

As Americans speaking to Americans, we are right to say "Withdraw from Iraq -- it was wrong; a lie; foolishly short-sighted." But, to Iraqis, how do you say "We're leaving. It's your problem; your responsibility" -- when we created the current situation? "Bring the War on Terrorism to the streets of Baghdad so we don't have to have it on our streets" was the sentiment of Bush.
It was an immoral notion. And now just walking away is as immoral as staying. Damned If You Do, Damned If You Don't. (Thanks, Bush).

True Iraq is a Lame Duck War; but there are poor young SOldiers dieing left & right. Polititians of today (both sides) should think fast, Solve this debacle called Iraq, families are being torn apart, divorce is high in the military.....
