He said he did not; but supported civil unions. Chris Matthews astutely asked him, "is that not discrimination then?". Barack simply, like the typical politician that he claims not to be, sidestepped the question and repeated his belief that states should support civil unions. Basically, "Separate but equal" is not good enough for blacks, but it IS good enough for gays. Gee, it sure sounds like Senator Obama has been listening and agreeing with his pastor more than he admits. Shame on him. It's a question put by someone who doesn't know what happens at 3:00am in the bedroom of the President. AND I don't mean any disrespect. NEVER is the President expected to wake up and answer a phone call in bed from the Russians.

Hardball College Tour: Sen. There are things he cannot talk about or agree about because he will not be elected but once elected he will get to gay marriage as well! I am confident about it, I have faith in him and in his vision! sure you can say that is hypocricy, but sometime to change things you have to get to the top, untill then there is not that much you can do! We really should give him a chance, come on people you gave that idiot of George Bush 8 years of chances and you will not give this guy the opportunity to create a better future? I have never voted for anyone because I always taught it was all baloni, but Obama, I would trust him with my life! I'm a 55 year old white woman born and bred in Alabama who remembers shaking George Wallace's hand when I was a Brownie visiting the Executive Mansion in Montgomery with my troop. I was a liberal hippie as a young adult, but somehow became a conservative Republican who voted for George Bush both times. Even though I'm concerned about some of Obama's positions - I really am part of the "religious right," - this guy is so cool. I LOVED his speech on race. I've never heard anything so real from a politician. I have tremendous respect for John McCain who reflects more of my own beliefs, but - dang it, - some mysterious force might just force me to vote for Obama.

But would I vote for Hillary?
